SNIPERWORLD.com is non profit organization that originally was just a link collection on a private computer. As the amount of useful links and information grew the collection of links was transformed to an on-line resource for those interested in the art of sniping and long range tactical marksmanship. The operation is funded purely by private people and we receive no support from companies or other organizations. As traffic has increased steadily on this site, the maintenance of this site has become increasingly difficult because of continuously rising costs that are are result of the rapidly growing bandwidth use. Despite the growing financial burden that is placed on the founders of this site the future of this site looks bright and there are no plans of closing down this site in the foreseeable future.

Banner advertising
SNIPERWORLD.com does not sell advertising space for money. What we do is that we offer companies that want to have their banner on our site or their product displayed on our site, a possibility to send us product samples (scopes, gear etc.) that we then review. The review is then placed on the "Quick Review" section for our visitors to read. In short, in exchange for goods a company gets a banner or a review or in some cases both. With this kind of policy we hope to be able to create more interesting content to our visitors and minimize the amount of advertising that is of little or no interest.

Banners [top of page]
Currently no free banner spaces are available. In order to keep our site as user friendly as possible we have limited the amount of banner ads to its current state.

Product reviews
Our staffers are interested in any new developments in the field and we are constantly looking for new products to test and review. As our site has become quite popular amongst the so called "sniper community" we feel that our reviews page is a good place for company to get the word out on their new products. The company gets their product reviewed in our reviews section and the review stays on our site as long as this site exists. On the review page the company has the opportunity to have a banner of their liking and the review page stays there indefinitely.

If you arrange sniper competitions, training etc. please let us know by e-mail. We try to post all current and upcoming events on our front page to keep our visitors informed on what's going on.
