The
alba windwatch is nice little ( the smallest one we have seen
) tool for making accurate wind measurements and it has a few
great extra features too. The only thing you need to know is the
wind direction, and you can measure the wind in km/h or m/s or
mph or beuforts or knots ! Silva also has a cheaper version of
the alba but it only has the wind measurement functions and apparently
comes in bright yellow...
Here is what the alba has built into it:
Barometer
- current barometric pressure (in hPa or inHg)
- barometric pressure over the last 16 hours (for making weather
forecasts)
- temperature (in C° or °F)
Wind
speed
- current wind speed in km/h or m/s or mph or beuforts or knots
- max. wind speed and or max average wind speed
- average wind speed
Altimeter
- altitude in metres or feet
Temperature
- current temperature
- wind-chill
oh yes,
and a clock...
