mission: Tactical Cleaning kits
Intelligence:
guns are essentially little metal machines, and for any machine to function properly, it must be clean, and have its frictional parts properly lubricated. Firearms are specialized machines because often when they are needed, that need is absolutely imperative. For instance, if you’re a law enforcement officer, and you need your pistol, you absolutely need to know that it will function properly. Your life may depend on it. Proper function is your only option. If your pistol fails, depending on the circumstance, your life could be over. To properly clean your gun requires a cleaning kit. You want to be able to get at hard-to-reach areas like the chamber and bore. A decent cleaning kit will accommodate those needs. Things you’ll want to look for in a cleaning kit include: long “Q-tip” style swabs, a cleaning rod, rod-ends, patches, pipe cleaners, a soft rag, bore solvent, gun oil, and a brush of some type. A small screw driver often comes in handy, too. And don’t forget some clean rags. You want to be sure your chamber, barrel, and most importantly your feed ramp, are clean. Often, feed ramps will be chromed to purposely be “slippery” to the nose of the bullet. You’ll want to be sure that the feed ramp is clean of carbon, so you don’t get a failure to feed, which is one of the most common types of misfires in pistols. Be good to your gun, and it’ll be good to you. Keep it clean, and it’ll keep you safe.
