mission: Tactical Grips
Intelligence:
| many tactical rifles have the ability to change out the handguards on the fore-end. Often on precision sniper rifles, they will "free float" the barrel, since the less handguard that you have physically touching the barrel, the more accurate your long range shots will be. Tactical assault rifles like AR-15s can be upgraded with a rail system handguard up front that can accomodate lights, lasers, bipods, fore-end grips, and even range finders. Changing out the handguards is an easy process. Simply pull back the guard ring, or "delta ring" as its officially known, and take the old guards off. Then snap the new ones in there. This may be difficult for some, but it can be done. When this writer was serving in the Army, I used to stand the M-16 A2 upright on its buttstock, pull the delta ring down with one hand, and then take one side of the handguards partially off with the other. That way, it didn't seem like such a fight with the highly |

| spring-loaded delta ring, because one half of the handguard holds the ring back while you take the other half off. If getting the delta ring off is a tough job for you, we sell a handguard removal tool that takes all the work out of the job. If you want free float handguards, we have them, too. We even have them in different colors. |
