Armalite AR-30 .338 Lapua

I'm getting too old to chase moose in the brush, so I decided to build a 500 yd. moose gun. It took 9 months to get it all together along with an IOR-Valdada 3-18 x 42mm Tactical scope. HSM 300g. ammo places inside 5" at 900 yds. Yup, I like it. It was shipped in an inexpensive case and the parkerized finish was rubbed in a couple of spots. I will try getting around to Dura-Coating it before moose season, just to please Mayor Bloomberg.

I HAD TO WAIT 2 YEARS TO GET MINE AS THEY WERE OUT OF PRODUCKTION FOR 2 YEARS. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT. I FOUND THE RIGHT LOAD AT THE VERY BEGINNING AND AM SHOOTING SUB HALF MOA GROUPS. BEST SO FAR IS A .37 MOA AT 300 YARDS WITH SWIRLING 10 MILE PER HOUR WIND GUSTS. THIS RIFLE IS COMFORTABLE TO SHOOT AND WILL STOP ANY ANIMAL ON THIS PLANET.IT IS A RUGGED AND SIMPLE RIFLE THAT FUNCTIONS WELL FOR A LOT LESS MONEY THAN ITS COMPETITION. I LOVE IT SO MUCH THAT I WILL CONSIDER A SECOND ONE.
