Backing wears out quickly.

This is much softer than the usual gun bench but after a few uses the backing seems as though the chemicals are getting to it. Ed''s Red cleaning solution does a number on these mats. If you need something more durable look at GunMats.com - I''m using that now and it works great but it isn''t quite as absorbent as the KleenBore one.

It''s a mat alright. Just got it. Haven''t tried to clean it yet. Better than a hard surface to lay my guns down on when cleaning.
