I had been looking at specifications and reviews of Magpul''s UBR stock for some time, but for many months it was a challenge to find a retailer who had one in stock. It was even more challenging to find one in foliage green to match my Magpul rail covers, grip, and magazines. Thankfully, Widwest Hunter''s Outlet came through for me and was able to ship the UBR in foliage as soon as it was released by Magpul. The stock has met all my expectations and more. It installed easily using only Brownell''s AR-15 stock tool and a flathead screwdriver. It is rock steady, with no hint of wobble or play. Adjustment for length of pull is intuitive and quick, and I like that the cheek weld isn''t affected by the stock''s position. The rubber butt pad sticks to my tactical vest and provides a steady, slip-free shoulder weld. I especially appreciate the multiple, configurable sockets for QD sling swivels. Combined with an EMDOM Gunslinger sling, an EMDOM Universal Rig Strap, and a rail-mounted attachment point for an HK-type clip, these sockets let me switch rapidly between a utility two-point, tactical two-point, single-point, and single-point direct-to-rig sling configuration. The storage compartment isn''t huge, but I could fit in a coiled cleaning cable with handle, jag, bronze phospher brush, patches, and a broken case extractor. It doesn''t hurt that the stock is just plain cool looking. I highly recommend this stock to anyone looking to upgrade their AR-15 type rifle.
